As part of the Together North Jersey Training Institute, TNJ and the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) are pleased to announce The TNJ Parklet Workshop, which will take place on February 10, 2017 at the offices of NJTPA, located in Newark, NJ. The agenda for the workshop will include a review of the current status of parklets in NJ communities and other areas, as well as an overview of the process to create a parklet, or a program for more than one parklet. There will also be a panel discussion of the benefits of parklets to business districts, the factors to consider selecting a location, concerns that may arise from the community, and the issues and costs involved in designing, constructing, and maintaining the parklets.
