DESCRIPTION:he NJBWC Summit is New Jersey’s statewide meeting of bicycle

 ycling\, walking\, fitness and health enthusiasts and experts\, recreatio
 n\, trails and club leaders and others who are interested in making our s
 tate a better place to live.\nDrawing on the momentum for change spurred b
 y the pandemic\, NJBWC is pleased to offer you the opportunity to learn le
 ssons from communities that took action to open their streets to people\, 
 learn more about current Vision Zero\, Complete Streets\, and equitable mo
 bility initiatives impacting your community\, gain insights into different
  stages of trail development\, learn about available public funding source
 s for your bike/ped projects\, and identify strategies to advocate for a m
 ore bike and pedestrian friendly and therefore\, more livable New Jersey.\

  pandemic spurred tremendous innovation in tactical approaches to expand t
 he capacity of our streets to more safely accommodate people and commerce.
  These experiments validated the demand for complete streets that provide 
 a better balance between roadway users. At the same time\, many of these p
 ilots highlighted real conflicts that need to be thought through more thor
 oughly if they are going to transition to permanent solutions. The session
  will provide advice for those looking to transition from tactical to prac
