About
Downtown New Jersey is the organization of individuals, businesses, government agencies, and local and regional organizations that are passionate about downtowns. Downtowns reflect our communities’ unique identities, provide a focal point, a convenient local place of commerce, and offer a sense of place where people can gather and truly be community.
Downtown New Jersey is a resource dedicated to ensuring the vitality of our downtowns. Count on us as your resource for anything regarding downtowns in New Jersey.

- Inform and educate membership on legislative issues involving downtowns and commercial business districts.
President's Message
Downtown New Jersey is excited for what’s in store for 2026 — growth, collaboration, and a renewed commitment to supporting the people and places at the heart of our state’s downtowns.
As the landscape for downtowns, main streets, and commercial corridors continues to evolve, so too must the way we show up as an organization. Our focus moving forward is clear: to provide meaningful, practical value to our members while strengthening our role as a trusted statewide convener, advocate, and resource.
In the year ahead, Downtown New Jersey is expanding its programming and services to better meet the needs of communities at every stage of revitalization. We are proud to be launching Downtown Diagnostics – our revamped municipal consultation service, offering hands-on, customized support to municipalities navigating revitalization, economic development, and downtown management challenges. Our County Roundtable series will continue to grow, creating space for local leaders and practitioners to connect, share insights, and collaborate regionally. We are also enhancing members-only resources, including tools and content designed to support day-to-day work.
We are equally excited to welcome new members to our Board of Trustees, whose diverse expertise and perspectives will help guide Downtown New Jersey as we look ahead. Their leadership strengthens our organization and reinforces our commitment to representing the breadth of downtown experiences across New Jersey.
Strategically, our direction is grounded in impact. Downtown New Jersey will continue to advocate for policies and legislation that support vibrant, equitable, and economically resilient downtowns. We will expand opportunities for professional development through high-quality workshops, forums, and events, ensuring that our members remain informed, connected, and prepared to lead in a changing environment.
Downtown New Jersey is about community; sharing knowledge, elevating best practices, and moving forward together. I am energized by the momentum we are building and grateful for the members, partners, and leaders who make this work possible. The future of New Jersey’s downtowns is bright, and Downtown New Jersey is proud to be part of shaping what comes next. I look forward to seeing you and working with you for our downtowns.
